Twenty years ago yesterday, I went to my first Jayteen event ever. It was a pizza party at Aurelio's Pizza (long since gone). I only went because a friend of mine invited me and let me know that the guy I had a huge crush on was going to be there. I showed up with Lisa and another friend of mine, Susan, and this guy was there. Even though we were in the same French class, that was the first day I actually talked to him, and for me that was momentous.

Who'd have thought I'd be such an active Jaycee so many years later?
